Biographical Information
Born on Earth in 2387, Ezreli Jarol was one of a number of Betazoids raised in the relative safety of Earth, following the diaspora of families as a result of the Dominion Occupation of Betazed. Born to two Civil Engineers and almost quite literally in the shadow of Zefram Cochrane, Ezreli was almost destined to follow into an Engineering path herself.
At a young age, Ezreli was diagnosed with Kynik’s Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder where her Betazoid empathic abilities can affect those around her. Her condition is manageable and she has no significant episodes in her Starfleet career.
Ezreli applied for an undergraduate scholarship at Starfleet Academy in 2402 while studying Engineering at Princeton University on Earth. Her application was successful and she was inducted to Starfleet Academy in 2403.
