This is Relen Maret, coming to you from Aurek One.
In a decisive move, Klingon forces from the IKS Thorm who had been tasked with classified security tasks, have now sealed off the Colony Operations Centre complex entirely, citing orders concerning the escalating violence and “non-natural behaviour” among colonists.
The complex, originally intended for administrative use, has become the last defensible zone within Aurek One. With the surrounding sectors deemed too difficult to control at present. The Ops Centre holds command staff, communications, and emergency replicators which are working overtime to produce rebreather masks for colonists.
The Klingons are joined by what remains of colony security, who have fallen back from the outer sectors and now form a joint perimeter with the Klingons.
Streams of colonists are filtering through checkpoints as I speak. However those showing any signs of aggression or confusion are being turned back or put directly into restraints and being isolated as best as can be achieved. There have been some incidents of violence already, resulting in the deaths of three colonists by the perimeter.
My sources report that all such entry into the complex will be restricted in the next hour.
Past an initial quarantine broadcast by Colony Administration Liaison Rynra Tallar a few hours ago, there has been no further update from either Ms. Tallar nor anyone on the Colony Executive Panel. Ms. Tallar was last seen heading in the direction of Grid Theta with a team that my sources confirm included the Klingon Commander of the IKS Thorm, Cdr Lakara, as well as the Captain of the USS Pace, Kammus Corelli. Their whereabouts or mission is unknown.
I will remain outside the perimeter for as long as I can, but things are getting very bad out here. My next report will likely come from within the complex.
