Biographical Information
Early Life
Juulla S’Vesta was born in Jalanda City to an affluent family. Her mother is the owner of a large off world trading company, while her farther is a general within the Militia Intelligence Services. Juulla served with the Bajoran Militia from the age of 16, much due to the strong influence of her father, as her mother was often dealing with the family business.
Upon her graduation, she was assigned to the Hathon province, a relatively peaceful rural community beyond Jalanda. Whilst generally peaceful, her time here was not without incident. Petty thievery and the occasional drunken brawl occurred and was typically the extent of crime seen in the area.
The Rise of the True Way
That changed in 2404 when there were attempts to destroy several farms in the area, seeing rise to arson and in some cases murders. Whilst the security services were able to quickly regain control of the situation, it wasn’t until two years later the true cause was discovered, True Way terrorists. Due to S’Vesta’s actions in the resolution of this case, she was promoted to First Lieutenant and reassigned to the Intelligence services.
Juulla’s time within intelligence was often wrought with investigations into the ever-increasing True Way threat, including multiple attempts to further sabotage production on Bajor, the discussions with Federation diplomats and even attempts to steal the Prophets’ Orbs.
In 2408, Juulla’s attentions were diverted to the Fire Caves after an archaeological team from the Vedek Assembly were reported missing. This was later discovered to be another attempt by the True Way in their misguided attempts to reawaken the Pah Wraiths. While Juulla had led other teams in the past, this was the first time she had started and finalised a full investigation led by herself. Because of her dedication and arduous work, she was promoted to Captain and transferred to the Command division in early 2409.
Omega Force
Her time in command of militia forces and indeed remaining within the militia itself was short lived as in mid-2409, Juulla permanently transferred to Deep Space Nine and was recommissioned as a Starfleet Officer, attending an etiquette course and transferred to the rank of Lieutenant. Juulla was put quickly to work, under Commander Roxy and using her militia training and local knowledge to assist in the training of both MACO and Omega Force members.
In 2411, Deep Space Nine was attacked by temporally displaced Dominion Forces and Juulla was temporarily reassigned to the U.S.S. Belfast until her destruction later in the month. The surviving crew of the Belfast were later rescued by the U.S.S. Ranger and Lieutenant S’Vesta settled in at Tactical and later volunteered to be part of the mission that retook DS9 from Dominion Forces.
Lieutenant S’Vesta took a squad through one of the Runabout landing pads, making their way through the stations Jefferies Tubes to the main engineering facility, and taking control of the primary computer core. As her team returned to the Ranger, during the brief time the shields were down, the Ranger was heavily damaged, resulting in the incapacitation of many senior officers, including the Chief of Security and Tactical. Juulla assumed his role and the Ranger made a fighting retreat from the remaining Dominion forces.
The Solanae Initiative
As the previous Security Chief succumbed to his injuries, Juulla was reassigned to the Ranger on a permanent basis. While she was no longer stationed on Deep Space Nine, she kept her ties with Omega Force, acting more in the capacity of a liaison. The Ranger was redirected to the Solanae Dyson Sphere, supporting deployed Omega and MACO forces as well as their Starfleet counterparts in exploration and mapping initiatives.
The Iconian War and Rebuilding
In 2413, Juulla was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and stood down from her role as a liaison officer. As the Ranger returned from her expedition in the Solanae Sphere, the Iconian War had broken out, and the Ranger was rapidly deployed along with a small squadron to decrypt the command control network of a series of inactivated gateways in an effort to provide some early warning of inbound attacks. During this time, the Ranger and her squadron came under heavy attack from Elachi forces including many attempted boarding actions, each repelled with a high rate of success by S’Vesta and her security team.
During the battle of Sol in late 2414, the Ranger was struck by multiple Iconian forces, resulting in critical damage with mass casualties. S’Vesta’s first command was short lived as she ordered the Ranger crew to evacuate and the computer to plot a collision course directly for the Iconian construction around Jupiter, an ultimately futile attempt as the impulse engines were destroyed moments later, followed by the sudden ceasefire and retreat of Iconian forces.

EVALUATION: Lieutenant S’Vesta’s six-month review indicates her performance has been highly satisfactory. Her skill and intelligence as a tactical officer has been apparent from her first day aboard, and I find her a valuable addition to the Bridge Command rotation.
Her relationship with superior officers is exemplary, and her combat simulation programs, as well as her simulation performance itself, is a clear demonstration of both her skill and leadership.
Her main duties aboard the Ranger have been at the tactical station on the bridge, however, her ground-side ability is excellent as well. I feel Juulla would be appropriate for a promotion, if only she had a suitable test of her skills.
On our new assignment, S’Vesta has been assisting with the training of Romulan ground forces. While this is a worthy goal, it is still training. I feel she would do well with a difficult assignment and will ask Admiral T’Nae if there is anything we can offer for her. |
| RECOMMENDATION: Upon completion of assigned missions to Admiral T’Nae, review for promotion to Lieutenant Commander. Review to be completed by Commander Ranna Lei, as sector administrator. |

EVALUATION: Lt. S’Vesta has been an outstandingly professional officer serving aboard the U.S.S. Ranger. With multiple recommendations from Captain Jacobs, as well as a series of additional assignments she has been partaking in recently along the Romulan border, serving as a temporary member of Admiral T’Nae’s staff.
Her skills as a tactical officer are exceptional, and has made a great contribution to the quality of the Ranger’s combat record since joining her crew a year ago.
While Lt. S’Vesta’s personality may appear quite quiet, her abilities as a team leader should not be overlooked, and her relationships with both superior and subordinate officers are cordial and positive. She can have a strong and commanding manner, and has a quick and creative mind with the ability to plot tactical probabilities and possibilities with great speed. |
| RECOMMENDATION: Promotion to Lieutenant Commander with immediate effect. |
