2388-2392 attended Starfleet Academy, graduated in Science Track on topics of quantum chromodynamics, elementary particle physics and astrometrics.
2392-2394 As a fresh Ensign, assigned to Weapons’ Research Department on Memory Alpha. Focused on analysis of various weapon systems and schematics encountered by USS Voyager in the Delta Quadrant. Tasked with the goal to develop quick mass production of transphasic torpedoes. The project turned out unfruitful, as it would take another two decades before the methods improved enough to meet Starfleet’s expectations.
2394-2396 Returned to Starfleet Academy and worked as Assistant Lecturer. Promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade.
2396-2399 As LT JG, served aboard Excelsior-class USS Hancock, as the Head of Astrometrics. During this time, Hancock charts and surveys several star systems in the Eridan Belt.
2399-2403 Promoted to full Lieutenant, becoming Deputy Chief Science Officer aboard the Hancock. Shortly after the fall of Gornar, he was transferred to USS White Fang, Prometheus-class. Her commanding officer, Captain Harold Jakobsson, placed him in the ship’s Tactical Department with the intention “to weaponise science as much as possible as the darker times are ahead of us”.
2403-2405 During this time, USS White Fang patrolled the ever-shifting borders of the Federation and the Klingon Empire. Lesyak worked on modifications across several ship systems aboard White Fang, which were frequently tested in the localised skirmishes with the flotillas of smaller Klingon houses. The acquired field-test data and subsequent analysis by Lesyak’s research group resulted in slightly increased phaser energy modulation and weapon efficiency. The report was sent to Starfleet Tactical and distributed among other Prometheus-class vessels, but proposed modifications seemed to benefit White Fang the most.
2405-2410 Klingon-UFP War. The White Fang was deployed on several fronts, her most notable participation being in the defense of the Cestus system in 2408 and retaking several systems in the Hromi Cluster.
2411-2412 The White Fang was one of the ships assigned to patrol the Defera Sector, following the Borg and Breen incursions into the region. Lesyak tampered with the fractal remodulator developed on Defera, with the aim to scale it up to ship weapon systems but with no effect. Nonetheless, he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander for his efforts at the suggestion of White Fang’s Saurian XO, Teezzir Rolak.
2413-2414 Following the discovery of Solanae Dyson Sphere, Lesyak was transferred to Dyson Joint Command. Due to his experience of “weaponising science”, he served as an advisor to DSJ’s Board of Engineers responsible for the development of Dyson Science Destroyers, Solanae-class being one of them. During this time, he also completed ship command training. Following the Undine incursion in Sol and Qo’nos system, Lesyak was transferred to USS Aramis, Saber-class, serving as the Second Officer under Captain S’Teel R’Relar.
2415 Iconian War: USS Aramis had participated in the opening Battle of New Romulus, assault on The Herald Sphere and Battle of Cait. After the Battle of Cait, Captain R’Relar and First Officer Shia M’Mesin were recalled to serve in the Caitian Defense Force. Lesyak was promoted to Commander and given the command of Aramis, which was reassigned to the task group defending Vulcan, where it remained until the end of the war (The Battle at Midnight). Upon the conclusion of the Iconian War he and the crew were transferred to USS Titania, Luna-class.
2416-2420 While the Alpha Quadrant allies dealt with Tzenkethi, Hurq and the Klingon Civil War, Starfleet reallocated several vessels to fulfill, by now almost ignored, mandate of interstellar exploration. Mimicking the golden era of exploration, Starfleet Command deployed USS Titania on the five-year mission to the regions towards the border of Gamma and Delta Quadrants. Along with the entire crew of USS Aramis, Titania’s roster was complemented with a 150 officers from across the future Khitomer Alliance - Romulans, Klingons, Deferi - and three dozen volunteers from the core members of the Delta Alliance - Talaxians, Benthans, Kobali, Octanti and Borg Cooperative, making it one of the most diverse crew complements until the launch of AFS Khitomer. Over the course of the first three years, Titania charted and surveyed a little under 100 star systems and established contacts with 42 FTL-capable species, not all of them being amicable. In late 2419, Titania came into contact with Garthan Kingdom, an interstellar polity whose xenophobia and aggression rivaled that of the Vaadwaur. Although Lesyak attempted his best in diplomatic overtures, Garthans responded in aggression even before Titania crossed into their claimed space.
Armed with phased tetryon weaponry and plasmonic torpedoes, Garthan vessel Knnyk attacked Titania even as the Luna-class attempted to retreat. Titania’s distress call was received by Tuzellans and Seberians, with whom both Titania established healthy relations. A quickly assembled Tuzellan-Seberian task group reached Titania, destroying the engaging Knnyk. With the exception of two Talaxians, the entirety of Delta Alliance crew complement was killed in the attack, along with the additional 183 members of various species. The Tuzellan-Seberian intervention dragged the three powers and another species, Dytherians, who joined against Garthans, into a three-month long conflict. Titania, too heavily damaged to be sent on her way, was kept dry-docked in the orbit of Seberia Prime during the conflict. Both Seberians and Lesyak called for peace talks but were continually rejected by the other participants. The conflict came to an abrupt end when two pairs of Dytherian vessels were launched at low warp against Garthas I and III, former being the Garthan homeworld, latter being the source of Kingdom’s dilithium. Prior to the vessels’ arrival, a large Tuzellan-Dytherian fleet engaged the Garthans to distract the majority of the Garthan defense forces. While the first vessel launched at the homeworld was destroyed, the other three reached their targets, leading to an almost immediate internal collapse of Garthan government and industry. The Tuzellan-Dytherian fleet retreated shortly afterwards, leaving Garthan generals to fight amongst themselves in chaos. While the total population loss was never revealed to Titania’s crew, one Tuzellan diplomatic official admitted to Lesyak that Tuzellans accessed Titania’s memory core while repairing the ship and studied Humanity’s early history, especially the prelude to Earth-Romulan War and the attack on Coridan Prime. This inspired Dytherians to do the same. Seberians and Titania’s crew were kept in the dark about the plan. Recognising the legal grounds for the violation of the Prime Directive, Lesyak attempted to step down but was promptly refused by his senior staff until he “would bring the remaining crew home”. Bidding farewell to Seberians, who severed their ties with Tuzellans and Dytherians, Titania turned around and headed back for Jenolan Dyson Sphere. The vessel returned to Earth mere weeks after the end of Klingon Civil War and J’mpok’s death.
2420-2421 JAG Investigation of Titania Incident. True to his word, Lesyak stepped down from his position as soon as USS Titania entered Sol system and established contact with Starfleet Command. He was placed under house arrest at his relatives’ family home in Europe. A year-long investigation and court martial unravelled the extent of the incident - following the rescue of Titania, ship’s XO, Lieutenant Commander Fehran zh’Tirish, and Chief Tactical Officer, Lieutenant Nicole Leverrier, began advising Tuzellans, and later Dytherians, providing them with access to Federation’s military history. Tuzellans pushed for the quick end of the conflict and Dytherians, having developed a proto-cloaking device several months before the conflict, were ideal candidates for the Anti-Coridan Maneuver, as they nicknamed it. Lesyak, whose officer record was unblemished up to that point, was cleared of all charges, receiving a reprimand. The remainder of 2421, he spent in seclusion on Deneva, attending counseling sessions from both civilian and Starfleet experts.
2422 Lesyak visited Starfleet Command to attend the medical board which was to decide whether he was fit for return to duty. The board was about to meet when news came of planet Pahvo disappearing without any trace of existence. A few hours later, Starfleet discovered why - C’Qer, Mirror Universe counterpart of V’Ger, entered Federation space and set course for Earth. All present and abled officers were recalled to duty, Lesyak included. Much to his surprise, he was given his old posting USS Aramis, which was deployed to meet C’Qer at the entity entry point into Sol system. Much like other defenders at the battle, USS Aramis was digitised with her full crew while putting up a fight. Upon the end of the battle and their restoration, the vessel was recalled to Utopia Planitia and Lesyak returned to Earth. Review of Aramis logs tilted the board’s decision - Lesyak was returned to duty though it would be some time before he received command again. He was summoned by his former senior colleague from USS White Fang, now-Captain Teezzir Rolak, to join him on USS Aspasia, Vesta-class vessel, as the First Officer. As it turned out, USS Aspasia was the flagship to White Fang’s CO, now-Admiral Harold Jakobsson. Interestingly enough, Aspasia’s roster was composed of both the White Fang crew and the original crew of the Aramis. Few science track officers even came from Titania.
2422-2424 USS Aspasia was assigned to the exploration of the Gamma Quadrant, as well as patrolling the buffer zone which was established between the Dominion and Hurq-held territories a few years earlier. To Lesyak’s surprise, the former warzone was thus far the most peaceful part of his service. In mid-2424, Rolak stepped down as the Captain, citing his desire to retire peacefully and return to his family in Sauria. Feeling that now-56-year-old Lesyak deserved a second chance, Jakobsson promoted him to the rank of Captain. The Admiral himself retired to a desk position at Starfleet Command three months later, handing over the full command of Aspasia to Captain Lesyak.
