Career Highlights
2380: Born 57926.93 (5 Dec 2380), Darzynia, Trill.
2398: Matriculates at Starfleet Academy. Career track: Operations.
2401: Added by LCDR Rita Waltemath, SF Academy Disciplinary Board: With respect to the allegations of systematic genderism levied at the unsanctioned “Miss Starfleet Academy” event, I find the organizers to have engaged in insensitive and passively discriminatory conduct. However, I make no finding of misconduct on behalf of the participants. I find credible the claims of the designated “winner,” Cadet Genys, that she participated in good faith and with the understanding that the event was intended to be ecumenical rather than exclusionary.
2401: Posted to USS Gorkon NCC-40521, Excelsior-class, for Cadet Cruise. Billet is Subspace Antenna Maintenance Assistant.
2402: Graduates Starfleet Academy with the rank of Ensign. Assigned to USS Leonard NCC-76794, Ross-class. Billet is Subspace Antenna Specialist.
2404: Promoted to Lieutenant, junior grade.
2404: Cleared by Trill Symbiosis Commission for joining procedure. Joined with the Letzke symbiont.
2404: Added by CAPT Lars Bjarnesson, USS Leonard: Through CMO Paderno, I have received medical confirmation that LTJG Zell Letzke is cleared to return to duty following her joining experience. I authorize her return immediately and welcome her back to duty.
2405: USS Leonard transferred to 4th Fleet. Reason: Klingon War,
2405: Added by CAPT Lars Bjarnesson, USS Leonard: Recognizing her exceptional effort in breaking the Klingon “tlhup” encryption and deciphering transmissions that allowed the preemptive countering of an attack on Ronaris II, LT Letzke is awarded the Medal of Commendation.
2405: Promoted to Lieutenant. Billet changed to Communications Officer.
2406: Added by ADM Pavel Kubikov, SF Operations: LT Letzke and LTJG Mieszkowski of USS Leonard are awarded the Citation for Conspicuous Gallantry, and LT sh’Ahnya awarded the same posthumously, for their infiltation of the Klingon communications hub on interplanetary comet 2319 BK39 and their successful capture of an intact “tlhup III” cryptographic machine.
2406: Completes her line officer certification.
2407: Billet changed to Chief of Ship Operations.
2407: Added by CAPT Lars Bjarnesson, USS Leonard: Recognizing her remarkable individual heroism in rescuing two unconscious members of the crew from a flooding maintenance compartment, at great risk to life and limb, LT Letzke is awarded the Award of Valor.
2407: Promoted to Lieutenant Commander.
2407: Added by CAPT Lars Bjarnesson, USS Leonard: In my opinion, LT Letzke has demonstrated extraordinary leadership capability and personal growth under tremendously trying circumstances. I recommend she be considered for advanced command track training, should the current conflict permit.
2408: Appointed Second Officer, USS Leonard.
2408: Added by CMDR Leithia Ahruni, CMO, USS Leonard: LCDR Letzke transported to Sickbay unconscious with severe disruptor burns and bat’leth lacerations following Klingon boarding action. The injuries sustained caused the Letzke symbiont to be partially exposed through the abdominal sac. Injuries have been stabilized and repaired, but recommend monitoring to ensure no adverse effects to either the host or symbiont.
2408: Added by ADM Fatima Kalbi, SF Operations: This is to affirm that CAPT Lars Bjarnesson is posthumously awarded the Decoration for Gallantry for defending the bridge of USS Leonard in hand-to-hand combat against a Klingon boarding action. CAPT (Acting) Alcia Rojas, LCDR Zell Letzke, ENS Brandon Osterhoff and PO3 Graz nach Rug are awarded the Decoration for Gallantry for their role in the same. Their actions, collectively, prevented the bridge of Leonard from being overtaken, saving both the ship and countless lives aboard. The Leonard will be moved to Utopia Planitia for full repair and her crew reassigned as is appropriate.
2408:
2408: Added by CMDR Leithia Ahruni, CMO, USS Leonard: This report is to affirm that the Letzke symbiont and host have made full recoveries, with no adverse effects from their injuries sustained during the boarding. I authorize both to return to duty.
2408: Posted to USS Circinus NCC-73119, Galaxy-class. Billet is Executive Officer.
2409: Promoted to Commander.
2410: Added by RADM Stunn, SF Operations: The crew of USS Circinus are collectively awarded the Silver Palm for their successful diplomatic embassy to the Romulan remnant under D’Tan.
2411: Added by RADM Stunn, SF Operations: CAPT Michaelis and CMDR Letzke of USS Circinus are awarded the Silver Palm for successfully establishing peaceful contact with the Tharkanian Cooperative.
2413: Promoted to Captain. Posted to USS Cypria NCC-97009, Odyssey-class. Billet is Commanding Officer.
2413: Added by FADM Jor’el Quinn, SF Command: The crew of Cypria are collectively awarded the Decoration for Gallantry for their heroic defense of Earth Spacedock during the attack by Species 8472.
2414: USS Cypria destroyed at the Battle of the Herald Sphere with loss of 147 hands.
2415: Added by ADM Charles Lochaert, SF Command: This notation is to summarize the proceedings of the convened Board of Inquiry concerning the loss of USS Cypria during the Battle of the Herald Sphere. Considering the asymmetric nature of the conflict and the scale of ship losses during the engagement, the Board has delivered a finding of “without fault” on the part of CAPT Letzke with respect to the ship’s loss. I note for the record that CAPT Letzke appeared to dispute this decision during the proceedings and to have assigned blame to herself for the incident. However, the loss of the ship does not appear, in the view of the Board, to have been the result of command decisions or indecision on the part of CAPT Letzke, but rather, the result of the inherent technical asymmetry between current-generation technology and the Iconians. In recognition of the immense psychological strain that the Captain appears to be under, I recommend she be referred for remedial counseling and treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder prior to reassignment.
2416: Added by RADM Guimond Suh, SF Medical: I hereby certify that, following completion of remedial counseling, CAPT Zell Letzke is psychologically cleared to return to active duty.
2416: Assigned to Starfleet Tactical Command on an interim basis. Billet is Strategic Operations Analyst.
2416: Assigned to USS Asaph Hall NCC-1494-B, William Lassell-class. Billet is Commanding Officer.
2422: Assigned to USS Audax NCC-88926, Excelsior II-class, for frontline operations near the Black Cluster. Billet is Commanding Officer.
2423: Added by ADM Kifle Gebre-Mariam, SF Operations: For successfully making contact with the Clathen Horde and negotiating an end to raids on Deferi territory near their shared border, CAPT Letzke is awarded the Silver Palm.
